On Sunday, a packed C.O. Brown Stadium welcomed Illinois Sen. Barack Obama to Battle Creek.
Obama and his running mate, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, are on a tour of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania this week; three states Democrats and Republicans will be visiting often.
Michigan is one of several swing states in the presidential election. Obama's Republican opponents, Arizona Sen. John McCain and vice presidential nominee Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, already have scheduled a Friday visit in the east side of the state after the Republican National Convention.
